    Wow! These are a real revelation. Krenkel's finished work sometimes strikes me as a bit stiff and cold. These are full of energy. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing these. Great blog!

    Just came across it a few days ago and I really love looking at the old Charltons you have posted.

    I have a large Charlton collection which has been scanned and can be viewed in CBR(comic viewing software) format. It's great to see a blog like yours on the net!

  3. It's amusing to see that Krenkel couldn't spell the name of the magazine he was working on, however.

    (It's Eerie. Erie is a Great Lake and a city in Pennsylvania.)

    Amazing. He looks just like Michael Kaluta. Or, rather, Kaluta looks just like Krenkel. there must be some real influence there.
