TV Time!

I know there's some great pun or fabulous observation or some kind of "Days of Future Past (or Passed)" thing lurking in here, but it's been a long day and i'm just too pooped to see it.
Suffice it to say that these are two really good comics, with great art and interesting stories. Korg has story and art by the under-rated Pat Boyette, while Nicola Cuti and John Byrne do a swell job with the Gerry Anderson adaption.
Many people seem to have a low opinion of Charlton Comics, but these two books are pretty darn enjoyable (in my humble opinion). Read 'em and see!

  1. Charlton pumped out a lot of junk, but they also put out more than their share of cool stuff as well -just like Marvel and DC.

An underrated publisher, as far as I'm concerned.

Thank God you put up the Charlton stuff. Pat Boyette was indeed underated. His work wasn't dependent on fancy linework but on solid drawing skill to tell the story. While his work was never "dynamic", it had the unique ability to put you into the panels, make you feel the atmosphere which permeated the story. As an artist myself, I can tell you that's no small feat and it's something that is unbelievably hard to do successfully. Yet Boyette, particularly in his black and white work, could do it time after time.

The same goes for the late, great Tom Sutton, who, when he chose it, was easily the equal of of Bernie Wrightson when it came to portraying sheer horror. They both stand on the shoulders of "Ghastly" Graham Ingels, the greatest portrayer of horror in comics.

So thanks for bringing us these books.
