OFFICIAL DETECTIVE MAGAZINE ON OLD TIME RADIO

Seems like we're on a crime kick this week and what better trash is there than true crime magazines (the seedier, the better).
Yeh, it's gotta be...OFFICIAL DETECTIVE!
What exactly do they mean by official?....they have an office?...or more like consulting detective? Combined with Actual Detective? As opposed to bogus detective? Hey that sounds good..."Bogus Detective Stories"...i'll buy that for a dollar!

This seems to have been one of the first "TRUE-CRIME" cross format platforms through the 1940's and 50's - appearing in print, TV and radio! (Early examples would be say FLASH GORDON, appearing in comics, film and radio as well as many later TV versions and INNER SANCTUM on radio, 6 or so so-so Universal films with Lon Chaney Jnr. and a long series of "Inner Sanctum Mystery" novels).

So while we check out these mind-boggling covers that give a new and deeper meaned to the word "posed", here's
"OFFICIAL DETECTIVE - Nov 29th 1956 - The Murdered Bridegroom"from the Golden Age of Radio.
